Movin' Around...

Last weekend, I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep, and I felt this little poke in my abdomen. I just knew that had to be our baby kickin/movin around.  I grabbed Justin's hand and put it over my belly...and surely enough she did it again.  :) We were in awe.  Since then, I have felt her pokes and kicks more and more.  First, I felt it every night before I fell asleep.  Then, this past week I felt it when I was driving, or while I was just sitting still at work.  I'm feeling her move around as I type this. :) I am looking forward to feeling her even more.  I hear it will start to be uncomfortable as she gets bigger.  That'll be interesting.  And it will be so strange to feel her have the hiccups, lol.  I can't believe I'm already half way to the due date.  It doesn't seem possible.  It feels like it's going by quickly and slowly at the same time.  Just trying to enjoy every moment, and she's making it pretty easy to do that so far. :)
In other news, we'll be attending a bible study starting next week and I'm really excited about it because I'm sure it'll bring us closer to God, to each other, and to our church family. That makes me happy.  I feel like I am not doing my best to grow closer to God so I am ready to dive in and build upon that relationship not only for our little one but for myself.

Party of 4!

Hi there! First of all, sorry it has been so long since my last post, but I've been a bit busy! Miss J is here and was very punctual!! She arrived on her due date, and I had another easy labor! Labor started in the middle of the night, and I wasn't able to sleep much, but it just felt like bad cramps. I woke Justin up around 6 or so and told him I was having contractions about 5 min apart. By about 10am, we were on the way to the hospital. The car ride was a lot less exciting than I thought it would be, and the funny thing is, once we got in the car, my contractions slowed down. At the hospital, they put me in a storage room of sorts and hooked me up to the monitor. Apparently, there were 7 or 8 other people in labor and all the rooms were occupied. I didn't mind, and luckily we were able to get into a recovery room after I had her.  I got the epidural and I had our big baby girl weighing in at 8 lbs 12 oz, just before 2pm. 3 pushes. Woot! Timeless Love

So, yesterday I was digging through my purse and came across my dad's old watch face. It's one of those digital ones. I had been throwing it in my purse whenever I switched purses, just to have it in there, because it would beep every now and then and fondly remind me of my dad.  It didn't have the right time and I didn't know how to change it, but that was okay. I pulled it out because I noticed there weren't any numbers on it.  The watch had finally died.  I'm not sure when exactly, but it had, and sometime this year for sure. Mind you that my dad passed away 9 years ago on December 22nd. I wasn't very sad when I realized the watch had stopped. I just kind of had the feeling of "aw, that's too bad."  Because I guess I realized at that moment that the watch wasn't going to keep me close to my dad.  It's just a watch. And now a dead one at that. I have been thinking about dad a lot lately, as I always do when the holidays come aro...

28 Weeks and Counting...

Hello all! Well, I'm 28 weeks along now and time has been flying!  A couple things in my life have been ending or will be ending soon. I quit my job to stay home with Bri and our new baby girl.  J has decided he'd rather me stay home and work overtime a shift or two to cover my paycheck. So here we are. It was sad to leave my kids and my friends at work, but the time for me to leave was coming soon anyway, and I was ready.  I thought I was going to be an emotional mess on my last day, which was Friday, but I did pretty well. I did cry but not too badly and I felt a peace about it all as I left.  The guy who is taking my place seems nice and like he'll fit in well. Plus, the kids like him so that makes me happy. Anyhow, my last class of my masters degree is coming up this week.  I will finally be finished! Hallelujah! It's been four years and I'm so ready. My graduation is the first week in May and my family is coming into town so that will be fun! :) Things are ...
